Dubai Creek

Dubai Old Creek

This post is kind of "part two" of my Dubai Old Spice Market post. We were passing by the Dubai Creek (Khor Dubai) on our way back from the spice market. We were so lucky not only because we happened to be there during golden hour, but mainly because we got invited to take a peak inside one of the docked old wooden sailing vessel filled with cargo. It was quite an experience!

  1. I've lived here for 14 years and have never stepped inside a working dhow so this peep into another world was particularly interesting. I love the blue paint of these dhows and the rusty anchor. Must take time to go down myself during golden hour.

    1. I really enjoyed our trip in this part of Dubai and being able to "explore" one of the dhows was a highlight of the day. You should definitely give it a go. I LOVED the blue paint! :)
